Vejigantes/ Carneval de Ponce

This is a depiction of the Carneval that takes place in Ponce. This carnival coincides with Mardi Gras and Carneval in Rio and Venice. The masks used in Ponce are very distict and diferent from those that are used in Loiza. Loiza's masks are made from Coconut husks.

Ponces mask's are made of Papier Maché, and are caracterized by many horns and speckling of multicolors
