In June of 1999 I was commissioned by director, Juan Carlos Morales,
to conceptualize the costume and set design of the Spanish language version
of Shakespeare's,Midsummer Night’s Dream (Sueño de una Noche de Verano)
which was held in the Bellas Artes Center,Guaynabo, San Juan.
The Concept was to convert Shakespeare’s setting, into a Caribbean
fantasy world of Taino Indians and Jibaro (country folk) gentry.
Titania, the queen of the faries under the spell of Oberon, falls madly in love with Lanzadero who has been transformed into an Ass.
